Ajmer. The court can give its verdict today in the famous blackmail case of Ajmer in 1992. The whole of Rajasthan was terrified by this case that happened about 32 years ago. This case became famous all over the country in no time. This case of taking obscene photos of girls and blackmailing them and raping them created a stir in the then government. Four accused in this case have already been convicted. But later the High Court acquitted them. Today the verdict will come regarding six other accused.
According to the information, the hearing of Ajmer blackmail case was going on in POCSO Court No. 2. The trial of the accused in this case Nafees Chishti, Naseem, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohail Ghani and Syed Zameer Hussain has been completed. Today the court can give its verdict regarding these accused. In this case, 4 accused have already been convicted. Those 4 accused were later acquitted by the High Court after serving 10 years of sentence. There were a total of 18 accused in this case.
A red corner notice has been issued against one of the accused
One accused in this case is still absconding. A red corner notice has been issued against him. One accused committed suicide. The remaining 6 accused were arrested after 2002. Their trial was going on in the court. In this case, 104 witnesses and 247 documents have been presented by the prosecution during the hearing. Today, all eyes are on the court’s decision.
More than 100 girls were targeted
This blackmailing scandal started in 1992. People in Ajmer were stunned when obscene photographs of girls from prestigious schools and colleges came out in the open. Through these photographs, the youth of the Khadim community blackmailed innocent girls and targeted more than 100 girls one after the other. After that, the then government handed over the investigation of this case to the CBI.
