Ajmer’s special POCSO court has convicted Nafees Chishti, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Naseem Syed, Zameer Hussain and Sohil Ghani and imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh each on all of them. There were a total of 18 accused in this 32-year-old sex scandal, out of which 9 have already been sentenced. One accused in this scandal committed suicide and another accused is still absconding, a red corner notice has also been issued against him. A separate trial of one accused is going on.

Farooq Chishti, the then president of Youth Congress in Ajmer, trapped a school girl, raped her and took her nude photos. After this, he blackmailed the girl and forced her to bring other girls to his party at farm houses and hotels. Whichever girl came to his party, Farooq Chishti and his companions would rape her by giving her intoxicating drinks and take her nude photos. Later, that girl would also be forced to bring a new girl. In this way, one after the other, about 100 girls got trapped in their clutches.

The girls could not say anything to anyone due to fear of defamation. Later when this scandal was revealed, the police tried to suppress this matter. After this, 6-7 victim girls committed suicide. After this, people came out on the streets and the police had to register an FIR. Later, the investigation of this case was handed over to the CBI, whose report said that 18 people were involved in this heinous crime.
