Chandigarh. There may once again be an alliance between Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP in Punjab. This news has been given by news channel Aaj Tak. Aaj Tak Punjab BJP spokesperson SS Channi said that discussions are going on for alliance with Akali Dal. According to Channi, the core committee meeting of Akali Dal is to be held on March 22. Then there is to be a meeting of Akali leaders with BJP. After this meeting the BJP leadership will decide about the alliance.
Elections are to be held on 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab on June 1. In such a situation, there is still plenty of time to fill the form. In such a situation, if BJP and Akali Dal decide to come together once again, it could lead to a big fight in the electoral arena for Congress and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. There is no agreement between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and both the parties will field candidates on all 13 seats. If there is an agreement between BJP and Akali Dal, then a fierce contest can be seen on all the seats. Aam Aadmi Party leader and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had claimed that his party’s candidates would win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
If we talk about 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress had won 8 seats in Punjab. At the same time, Akali Dal and BJP had captured 2-2 Lok Sabha seats while being in alliance. Aam Aadmi Party had won 1 Lok Sabha seat of Punjab in the last elections. There was an alliance between BJP and Akali Dal for a long time, but Akali Dal had broken ties with BJP on the issue of withdrawal of farmer laws. After this, Akali Dal formed an alliance with BSP and at present there is an alliance between the two parties in Punjab. If there is an alliance between BJP and Akali Dal, then the BSP and Akali alliance will definitely break.
