The taste of lauki ki lauj is such that no halwa can match its taste. If you can make such a delicious sweet from lauki in such a short time, then the person eating it will eat it at first sight. Lauki ki lauj can be easily made and eaten even during fasting. The special thing is that lauki is very healthy, due to which this halwa does not cause any harm. Easy Recipe to Make Bottle Gourd Halwa (Lauj):
step 1- For Lauki Lauj you need to take 1 big size raw gourd. Peel the gourd and wash it with water and then grate it.
Step 2- Now take a pan, add 1 spoon of Desi ghee in it and put the grated gourd in the pan. Cook the gourd by covering it for some time. Check with your hand whether the gourd is cooked or not?
Step 3- Now add sugar to it and keep cooking for some time. Keep the milk in a pan on the side to thicken. If you want, you can also use 100 grams of mawa in it.
Step 4- When the water of sugar and gourd dries up, add condensed milk or mawa to it. When the consistency of all the things becomes like havwa, mix ground cardamom in it.
Step 5- Delicious Lauki ki Lauj or Lauki ka Halwa is ready. Eat it after it cools down a bit. Lauki ka Halwa can be eaten during any fast. It is very healthy and tasty.
Step 6- If you cook this halwa for a little longer, it will start to set. Apply ghee on a plate and spread it to set. When it cools down, cut it into pieces like barfi. In this way, gourd barfi will also be ready.
