Washington: America will now further strengthen its bilateral relations with India. For this, America’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is visiting India next week. He will meet India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval here to “discuss the Indo-Pacific” and discuss technology cooperation besides taking US-India relations to the next level. Sullivan is expected to meet Doval for the annual review meeting of the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET).
Earlier in February this year, his visit to India was canceled due to other global commitments. The visit of a close aide of US President Joe Biden to India will come soon after the visit of Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra. Kwatra is in the US for meetings with senior US government officials. Kwatra is also interacting with industry leaders to further bilateral cooperation in areas such as defense and technology. “Sullivan will be visiting Washington to deepen our bilateral relationship, exchange views on the Indo-Pacific and talk about next steps in technology cooperation,” a senior White House administration official said without announcing the date of his visit.
