New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Congress over Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s wrong mention of ‘Article 371’. Earlier in the day, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mention of Article 370 at an election rally in Churu, Rajasthan. Kharge said that ‘Yesterday PM Modi addressed a rally in Churu, Rajasthan. There are many issues related to farmers. Farmers are suffering and thousands of them have committed suicide. Instead of speaking on their issues, the PM said that he has removed 371. What do the people here have to do with this?
In an ex-post, Home Minister Amit Shah strongly attacked Mallikarjun Kharge, who had said ‘Article 371’ instead of ‘Article 370’. Amit Shah said, ‘Congress itself was expected to make such terrible mistakes’. Shah wrote that ‘such mistakes made by it have been troubling our country for decades.’ Home Minister Shah also said how shameful it was to hear that the oldest party was asking what relation the people of Rajasthan have with Kashmir. Shah wrote in an ex-post that ‘It is shameful to hear that the Congress Party is asking ‘What is the deal with Kashmir?’ I would like to remind the Congress Party that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every state and citizen has a right over Jammu and Kashmir, just as the people of Jammu and Kashmir have a right over the rest of India.
Congress doesn’t know
He further said that Congress does not know that ‘many brave sons of Rajasthan have sacrificed their lives for peace and security in Kashmir. But this is not the fault of Congress leaders only. The Italian culture of the Congress Party is mostly responsible for not understanding the idea of India. Such statements hurt every patriotic citizen who cares about the unity and integrity of the country. The public will definitely respond to the Congress.

Kharge’s comment ‘typical Congress mentality’
BJP national president JP Nadda called Kharge’s remarks a ‘typical Congress mentality’. Nadda wrote in an ex-post that ‘Another day, another gem of Congress! Kharge ji reflects that typical Congress mentality which wanted Jammu and Kashmir to remain cut off from the rest of India. They don’t even know that the article being talked about is Article 370, not 371! Jammu and Kashmir will remain an integral part of India. And, removal of Article 370 is very much related to national pride and unity and integrity of India. Congress will never understand such sentiments.
