To celebrate scientific achievements and to decide the role of science and technology in the future, ‘Glorious Week’ will be celebrated across the country. This initiative is an attempt to showcase the scientific heritage and technological prowess of the country. Which has helped in finding solutions to problems in defence, space, health, agriculture, astronomy and other fields.
The Sanskrit meaning of the program itself gives a message that Science and Technology is revered all over the world. Science demonstrations, science-based lectures, screening of science films, radio talk broadcasts, science book fairs, poster presentation and science literary activities are part of the festival in 75 cities across the country. These events, being held in hybrid mode, also include 75 prizes. For this, 75 locations and related partner organizations have been identified so that these programs can be conducted in local languages (other than English and Hindi).

- The first volume has 75 focal points in the history of science and technology. Which will underline the contribution of the founders of modern science and institutions of national importance in nation building. It will include screening of 75 films on 75 scientists and 75 lectures by eminent scientists and technologists at 75 venues.
- The second section is the Milestones of Modern Science and Technology. It will highlight the major discoveries, innovations or inventions that have left a mark in the global science or growth story of India.
- The third section is indigenous traditional inventions and innovations. It will showcase 75 inventions or technology that helped India achieve the goal of modern innovations and self-reliance based on a wealth of traditional knowledge systems. The manufacture of medicines from herbs can be said to be an example of this link.
- The fourth section under Transforming India will focus on the way forward for the next 25 years of Indian science and technology. In this, 75 eminent scientists and technologists from India and overseas Indians will speak.
Science and Technology Mega Expo (Exhibition), National Science Book Fair and Vigyan Sahitya Utsav are starting at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from Tuesday. It will showcase science activities including science writers, communicators, artists, poets, playwrights, street plays.

The program will be conducted in various Indian languages including Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Maithili, Manipuri. The purpose of adding Indian languages here is to make the common man aware of science and technology in his own language.
Winners honored on National Science Day
Competitions like Essay, Slogan, Poetry Writing, Poster, Short Film, Online Science Technology Quiz etc. were organized through mygov.in under Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate. The 75 winners of these competitions will be given prizes on the occasion of National Science Day on 28 February. This program will be held at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.
