Union Home Minister Amit Shah believes that the contracting of votes is over in Uttar Pradesh, voters vote with their mind out of caste mobilization. Now there is no owner of his vote except the voter himself. Give the Lok Sabha and the last assembly elections have proved this. The 2022 election is going to stamp it again.
Shah argues, this has been made possible by the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The poor were heard, the poor were empowered. In true sense, the government has become the support of the poor and downtrodden according to the constitutional spirit.
Amit Shah said in a conversation with AnyTV that due to the Modi government, houses, gas, electricity, toilets, free treatment and ration are being provided to the poor. Such a government has been expected in the constitution. But, what did the patriarchal governments that ruled the country for decades? Do not go ahead of yourself, your family and your caste. The patriarchs confined development and government facilities to the outskirts of the family.
BJP is going to form the government again. One will get majority on its own. The candidates of both the allies will also secure a good victory. Our base has definitely grown. After the fourth phase, the numbers will also tell, how many seats have been won.
But, on the ground, do social-engineering and chemistry go awry?
Absolutely not. Trying to make such an impression. This is because we have made the voter the owner of his vote. The poor have been empowered because of the central and state governments. He no longer votes on seeing or at the behest of the leader of his caste. BJP has changed the voting pattern. Chemistry shows deteriorating people with old thinking.
Caste is the reality of UP. BJP also distributes tickets on the basis of caste.
Tickets are given on the basis of caste to represent and strengthen a section. Tell me, which class have we left? It is a big task to make everyone participate.
Then, why did the backward class leaders associated with the BJP leave in the last election?
I am saying that such leaders are living in a big way. Now there is no vote behind them. The achievements of our government for the poor cannot be compared to the Congress or any other government.
After the withdrawal of the agricultural law, the issue was over. I have held two meetings in Lakhimpur. From the amount of crowd that had come, one can guess that there was no issue left there. This is the result of the government taking action as per the law.
Even the stray animals that trampled the crops could not get the farmers freed?
It’s not like this. The government tried, planned with utmost sensitivity. There was a delay in its implementation, but as soon as the government is formed again, we will take up this issue first. To give relief to the farmers, the problem will be completely eradicated.
Let it try, everyone has the right in a democracy. But, first decide who will lead? Will Mamata didi or Sharad Pawar will? K Chandrashekhar Rao wants to do it himself or will Stalin come forward? Will discuss further when the leadership is decided.
There is dissatisfaction among the youth about employment. In Gonda, slogans were also raised in the meeting of the Defense Minister.
The government has been absolutely serious about employment. The problem is that the government job itself is considered as employment. We linked UP with ‘One District, One Product’ scheme. Today all 80 districts have got market. Due to this 1.5 crore people are getting employment. The unemployment rate has been brought down from 17.1 to 4.1 percent in five years.
Congress is showing strength in UP elections under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi. What kind of challenge do you consider?
Good point, everyone should come. But only the media sees him as a challenge. Congress could not win even a single seat in the elections in a state just behind, it should be kept in mind.
Then why is there an anti-incumbency trend?
Tell me such a government anywhere, in the elections, there is no tendency to oppose it. This is a natural process. But, there are also governments that create pro-incumbency trends. Yogi government is such, in whose favor the trend is more strong. It’s not like that. The work of the government is speaking. If we look at the infrastructure, seven thousand km of roads have been built in five years under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Six thousand km of roads are being built. Five new international airports and four expressways are being built. Metro is coming in 10 cities. Most of the smart cities are being built in UP.
Economy: The state’s economy was in seventh place under the SP government. It is now the second largest economy of the country. From Rs 11 lakh crore to Rs 22 lakh crore in just five years. The target is to make the country the largest economy in the next five years. Per capita income has almost doubled. The social index has also improved by 80 per cent.
Education and health: 30 medical colleges have been set up in five years. Will turn 40 this year. The goal is to have a medical college in every district. Two AIIMS and a new medical university have been set up. 77 new colleges have opened along with 10 new universities. 28 engineering colleges, 26 new polytechnics, 79 ITIs were also opened. 13,618 crore scholarship has been given to the students without discrimination. There are 1.80 crore daughters.
There is so much work, so why do you want to ride Hindutva? benefit?
Hindutva always benefits. is our basis. The opposition spreads propaganda for appeasement. Casteism, familyism and appeasement, all three are the hindrances in development.
Hijab is not an election issue for you. Then why complaints about burqa-hijab during voting?
Complaints are made on suspicion of bogus voting. The objection is lodged as per the prescribed procedure of the Election Commission. It should be seen with this view.
SP-Congress weakens the fight against terrorism
We have zero tolerance against terrorism, irrespective of religion or caste. But the Congress-SP has weakened the fight against terrorism in the country. Akhilesh Yadav even talked about releasing the arrested terrorists in the manifesto. In the greed of votes, the leaders who play with the security of the country, should they vote? In response to the Pulwama-Uri attacks, we conducted surgical strikes, entered Pakistan’s house and eliminated terrorists. Opposition parties should ask whether Kashmir is an integral part of India or not? When Modi ji removed Article 370, SP, BSP, Congress, all three protested. There was talk of flowing rivers of blood. Who are they scaring? We are not afraid. Leave the rivers of blood, no one dared to run pebbles.
Ration to 80 crore poor… Our government has provided free vaccines to 130 crore people
Work is done in all governments?
Our government has taken upon itself the concerns of the poor regarding basic amenities. Why hasn’t any other government done this earlier? While becoming the Prime Minister, Modiji had announced to form a government for the poor, backward and downtrodden. Yogi government in UP also did the same. SP, BSP, Congress ruled in 70 years, never a gas cylinder reached any poor house. These parties cannot be compared with our work of seven and a half years. In the SP regime, there was no electricity for 24 hours. It was the BJP government that delivered gas cylinders to the homes of 1.67 crore mothers. Build toilets in 2.61 crore houses. Electricity was provided to the mufti in 1.41 crore houses. 42 lakh poor houses were built. 6 thousand rupees were directly transferred to the accounts of 2.54 crore farmers. 37,600 crore rupees have directly reached the account of the farmers of UP. The government bears the health expenses of Rs 5 lakh for 15 crore poor.
The BJP government did not spare any effort to raise the standard of living of the poor. What did the previous government do in UP? Not a single scheme of poor welfare was allowed to hit the ground. Obstructed every plan of Modi government. Seeing the caste-class in those who implemented, they were arbitrarily. After the formation of Yogi government, welfare schemes started taking shape. UP changed in five years.
Questions were also raised on corona management in the first and second wave.
The opposition which is raising the question today, where was it at that time? Lockdown happened. Shops, factories, auto rickshaws, even roads had to be closed. Modi ji gave five kilograms of food grains for two years to 80 crore poor including 15 crores of UP. Our government should get 130 crore citizens vaccinated free of cost. Because of this, lives of people could be saved in the third wave.
Akhilesh Yadav used to stop people from getting it done by calling it Modi’s vaccine. However, later he also got vaccinated. It is good that the people of UP did not listen to him. We should bring down crime.. If Akhilesh comes, will Atiq, Azam, Mukhtar be in jail?
What is the difference in law and order, let me tell from the figures. Under the Yogi government, there has been a 70 percent reduction in dacoity and robbery, 29 percent in murder, 33 percent in kidnapping and 52 percent in rape. Ateeq Ahmed, where is Mukhtar Ansari today? Could they ever be sent to jail? If Akhilesh comes, will he still be in jail? Yogi government has eliminated all mafia. Two thousand crores of land was freed from their possession. In return, houses for the poor were built.
You remain less attacker on the Maya government? particular reason?
Look at my speeches, there is mention of plight in both the governments. However, the comparison will be more than the previous government itself.
