Amritsar . Unknown people fired indiscriminately at the petrol pump in Majitha, Amritsar, Punjab. One person was killed and two others were seriously injured by a bullet. Both the injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The incident was captured in CCTV at the petrol pump. CCTV footage can clearly be seen how the employees of the petrol pump are defending themselves from the accused.
On receiving information about the firing at the petrol pump, the police reached the spot and started the investigation. The police are searching for the nearby CCTV footage. An official said that the culprits will be caught soon. In the CCTV video surfaced, the employees are seen defending the accused.
It is being told that late night masked men came to the petrol pump to put fuel (oil). Due to the closure of the pump, the employees refused to put fuel, after which the accused fired. This petrol pump is said to be of Bikram Majithia’s special and Akali leader Warriya Singh Samara.
Significantly, the police had solved a sensational murder in Patiala district of Punjab in just six hours of the incident. Mahendra Singh (55) was shot dead near the old bus stand on Thursday (April 10). In view of the seriousness of the case, the police immediately took action and arrested the accused.
Patiala SP Palwinder Singh Cheema had told in the press conference that he was informed of the murder at around 10 pm on Thursday night. As soon as the information was received, the police team was sent to the spot under the leadership of DSP City Satnam Singh. On reaching the spot, the police started an investigation through Human and Digital Footprints and identified the accused within just six hours and arrested him.
According to the official, the deceased Mahendra Singh and accused Kunal Wadhwa were sitting together in the office. After some time something deteriorated between the two, after which Kunal shot Mahendra five bullets.
