Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on Friday told Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk that he started his career on the shop floor of an auto plant.
Musk posted that many films exist about a lone inventor’s “eureka” moment in a garage, but “almost none are about manufacturing, which is underappreciated by the public.” “Prototyping is a lot easier than the crazy pain of reaching high-volume positive-margin production,” the tech billionaire said.
What did Anand Mahindra say?
Mahindra replied that he did not agree with this. He posted, “I started my career on the shop floor of an auto plant and was always amazed to see the tireless effort and non-stop work to achieve greater production.” Mahindra further said, ” The heroes really deserve to have movies made about them. It’s also because the movies we make on the making of our cars get watched by a huge number of viewers on YouTube, so there’s definitely an audience there. ”
