In contrast to the minimum age of 6 years for admission in schools, now classes for children up to the age of 03 years will also be held in government schools. This decision is being taken under the new education policy. In the new education policy, before coming to class 01, children will now have to undergo additional studies through Anganwadi centers for three years in the form of pre-school education. In order to facilitate this study, the government has decided to tag schools and Anganwadis. In this sequence, the Women and Child Development Department has sent the list of 303 Anganwadi centers of Sheopur district to the School Education Department for tagging the schools.
Now in the new education policy, schools like Nursery, LKG, UKG have also been included before class 01. Till now such classes have been conducted only by private schools without recognition. Under the old education policy, classes are being started from class 1, in which the minimum age of the student was 6 years. Now pre-school education in government schools will also be started under the new education policy. Till now the list of children admitted in class 1 was taken from Anganwadi. Only children up to 6 years of age are enrolled in Anganwadi. Older children go to school. Now by merging Anganwadis into schools, instead of 6 years, children of 3 years of age will be started in schools. At present, 303 schools have been selected under this scheme in Sheopur district. At any time, orders can be issued to set up these Anganwadis in schools.

Teacher will teach with Anganwadi worker
Out of 1226 Anganwadi centers operating in the district, 303 have been selected for tagging schools. Here, along with the Anganwadi worker, the teachers of the respective schools will also give pre-school education to the children. The workers at the remaining 923 Anganwadi centers will provide pre-school education to the children, for this Anganwadi centers will be converted into playway schools. However, at present all facilities have been given by converting 9 Anganwadi centers into playway schools in all the three development blocks of the district. It will expand further.

More than 11 thousand children will be admitted
Under the new education policy, in the 303 Anganwadi centers that have been selected for tagging schools, 11 thousand 335 children are registered in the age group of 03 to 05 years. Out of these 5706 are boys and 5629 are girls. Of the Anganwadi centers that are being included in the schools, 71 of them are graduates and 184 workers are 12th pass. Therefore, there will be no problem of teaching children in schools. Under the common hearth, food, breakfast and education will be available equally under the PM nutrition scheme.

Supervisor will do the work of CSC
After the merger of Anganwadis in schools, both the departments will jointly carry out the responsibility. Schools facing shortage of public teachers will get additional CSCs in the form of supervisors of Women and Child Development Department. Apart from this, CDPO and DPO will also inspect the schools on the lines of BEO and DEO and submit the report to the collector. After this exercise, along with pre-school education in schools, all the systems of teaching and learning are sure to improve and agility.
