Nagpur. In a significant statement on Tuesday, the Shiv Sena said it was a “mistake” to accept the resignation of former state home minister Anil Deshmukh, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in November last year in an alleged money laundering case. The Shiv Sena MP said, “We have seen the available evidence against Deshmukh, his resignation was taken in haste (in April 2021), and it was a mistake. He was targeted and central probe agencies like CBI and ED were called against him. was left open.”
He reiterated that there is “absolutely no question” of resigning or sacking minister Nawab Malik, who was arrested by the ED in February in an alleged money laundering case arising out of a tainted land deal with fugitive mafia don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar.
“We have always said that maximum activities of central agencies are in Maharashtra and West Bengal. The ED has conducted over 23,000 raids in the last seven years. They are trying to create ‘fear’ and bring down the Maha Vikas Aghadi government here,” Raut said. We are trying. We will not bow down to Delhi’s decree.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but why is the ED not taking action in those cases.
“Even I have been threatened with ED action, I am not afraid. Many of our leaders are being harassed in the same way by central agencies, but we will continue our fight against them,” Raut said.
Apart from Deshmukh and Malik, at least half a dozen other Shiv Sena-NCP leaders are under the scanner of various central agencies against whom probe is underway.
He was speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the launch of a three-day public relations program of Shiv Sena launched in the state’s East Vidarbha region as part of the party’s outreach programme.
