Therefore, its treatment and prevention measures should be taken in time. Dr. Bharti said that the best way to protect animals from these diseases is vaccination. Animals can be protected from these diseases by getting them vaccinated. Because vaccination increases the immunity of animals. Animals are able to protect themselves from these diseases.
Symptoms of foot and mouth disease
The primary identification of animals suffering from foot and mouth disease is from their hooves i.e. the lower part of the feet or the mouth. In case of the disease, blisters are seen in the hooves or mouth of the animals. Apart from this, animals get high fever, saliva and white foam starts coming out of the mouth. Animals start walking with a limp. Animals also reduce their food and drink intake. Due to which they start becoming weak. In such a situation, if treatment is not received on time, then the animals may even die.
Preventive measures
1. The best solution is vaccination. Vaccination increases the immunity of animals, which completely eliminates the risk of this disease in animals. The feet of the animal suffering from the disease should be washed 3 times a day with decoction prepared from neem and peepal bark. The affected part should be washed with phenyl-containing water so that flies do not sit on it and the ointment given by the doctor should be used. To cure the ulcers in the mouth of animals, 1 gram alum should be dissolved in 100 ml water and washed three times a day. As soon as the symptoms of the disease are understood, consult a veterinarian immediately.
Be careful with these things
Keep the diseased animals in a clean and airy place. Keep the affected animal separate and away from the healthy animals. The person taking care of the affected animal should come in contact with other animals only after cleaning his hands and feet. The things like straw, hay, grass etc. that come in contact with the saliva coming out of the mouth of the affected animal and the wounds on the feet should be burnt or buried in a pit dug in the ground with lime.
