Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan has started preparations for its fifth session. For this, online applications have been sought from the candidates from August 1 on behalf of the department. This process will continue till 31 August. After this, for the fifth session, the entrance test and interview will be conducted by the end of September. At the same time, the fifth season will be started in October. It may be known that the Yogi government’s initiative to promote Sanskrit is the result that people’s inclination towards Sanskrit has started increasing. Along with reading and learning Sanskrit, people are also taking interest in employment in it. The demand for Sanskrit, especially for civil services, has started increasing. By taking advantage of the Civil Services Free Coaching and Guidance Scheme run by the Yogi Government, in the last four years, 13 candidates have been selected for the post of Deputy Collector to Deputy SP, securing high positions in the State Civil Services Examination. Apart from this, a total of 19 candidates have been selected in Subordinate Services. At the same time, lakhs of youth are learning Sanskrit language through online. Not only the youth of the state but also the youth of other states of the country are taking advantage of this initiative of Chief Minister Yogi.
Online application process started for fifth session
Vinay Srivastava, director of Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, said that according to the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the department has been running a flagship program for the last four years with the aim of promoting Sanskrit language, making Sanskrit literature employable and ensuring participation in administration. Free civil service and training guidance is being organized. Preparations for its fifth season have been started. For this, online applications have been sought from the candidates from August 1 on behalf of the department. This process will continue till 31 August. After this, for the fifth session, the entrance test and interview will be conducted by the end of September. At the same time, the fifth season will be started in October. The entire session is of 10 months, in which the training is completed in three phases. In this, grammar, philology, philosophy, epic, Sanskrit drama, Sanskrit prose and poetry etc. are taught by experts. Candidates of all categories in the age group of 21 to 35 years who have passed graduation or equivalent examination from UGC recognized university can be eligible for this scheme.
Those who choose Sanskrit in civil service will get direct admission
In the entrance examination, objective type questions will be asked from the candidates based on General Studies and General Sanskrit Knowledge, of which 100 questions are of Sanskrit and Hindi and 85 questions will be related to General Studies and 15 questions will be related to Sanskrit General Knowledge, Grammar and Literature. Apart from this, such candidates who have chosen Sanskrit subject as an elective subject in the preliminary examination of Civil Services of Union Public Service Commission and State Public Service Commission in the year 2022-23, will be given direct admission. Their maximum number will remain of 13 candidates only. Not only this, three thousand scholarship is also given to the candidates of civil service free coaching. For this, 75 percent attendance in the class of the candidates is mandatory. Along with this, their monthly progress report is also assessed for scholarship.
