India was hoping for a medal on the third day of Olympics 2024. This medal could have been won by none other than Arjun Babuta in the 10 meter air rifle event, but due to a small mistake he missed the medal and the country was disappointed. He looked very disappointed due to not winning the medal. In fact, he missed the bronze medal by a very small margin and finished fourth. He could have become the second athlete to win a medal in Olympics 2024 after Manu Bhaker. After the event, he said that it is definitely disappointing, very disappointing. But today is what it is. Somewhere, I believe in luck. It was not my day.

Arjun said this

Arjun started strongly and scored more than 10 points in his first 10 attempts. But a shot of 9.5 in the final stage of the event put him out of the medal race. Reflecting on what happened, Arjun said that as an athlete you can only control the things that you can control and if things are not right for you, things will not go right for you. After the end of his event on Monday, Arjun told the media that no matter how much you try, no matter how much you give your 100 percent, you cannot say that you will win today. Of course, you can try for it and you have to give your best.

Abhinav Bindra supported

He further said in his statement that of course, I am proud. My preparation before this event really worked for me. Years of hard work, technique and strategy that I had developed with my coaches worked during the event. We could have focused on a shot that could have turned the result in my favour, but it could not happen. Arjun also expressed his gratitude to former shooter and Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, who supported him before and after the event. Arjun told that Abhinav appreciated his performance in the event and told him not to pay much attention to the defeat.
