The Indian Army has got a version of Israel’s Barak missile. It has been tested on Sunday. It can hit 120 to 140 kms. It will pile up fighter planes, drones and missiles sent by the enemy country in the sky itself. This missile has been test fired at Chandipur in Odisha and it will be handed over to the army soon. During the test, the missile hit its targets in the air and destroyed them. Two tests of the missile were conducted. In the first test, it was checked how this missile can thwart the enemy’s plot at long range.
Also a test was done at short range. The surface-to-air missile has been developed by the Indian Defense Research Organization (DRDO) team. Israel’s weapons company Israel Aerospace Industries has helped in this. These versions of Israeli missiles will be given to the Navy and Air Force. Let us tell you that many years ago there was a defense agreement of Rs 30,000 crore between India and Israel, under which Barak series missiles are being prepared. DRDO and an Israeli company are working together on three such projects.
Experts believe that this missile will help India in protecting the borders. Through this, any attack of the enemy country can be given a befitting reply and the target can be penetrated in the air itself. Israel’s Barak series missiles are considered to be the most powerful of surface-to-sky weapons.
