Team India’s left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh did wonders by taking a wicket on the very first ball in this match against America. He dismissed America’s Shayan Jahangir on the first ball of the innings. Shayan Jahangir got out without opening his account. Arshdeep got him out LBW. With this, Arshdeep has become the first Indian player to take a wicket on the first ball of a T20 World Cup match. No Indian bowler had done this feat before this. At the same time, before Arshdeep, only three players in the world could do this feat. Arshdeep has become the fourth player in the world to do so.

He got Andris Gaus caught by Hardik Pandya. Arshdeep Singh has become the third player in the world to take a wicket in the first over of the T20 World Cup. Before this, only Ruben Trumpelman had done this feat against Oman and Fazalhaq Farooqui against Uganda.
