New Delhi. The court located at Rouse Avenue in the national capital has sent Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED in the liquor scam case. Earlier, on the application of ED, the court had twice sent Arvind Kejriwal on remand of the investigating agency. ED had presented Arvind Kejriwal in the special court on Monday after his remand was completed. From where Judge Kaveri Baweja ordered to send Kejriwal to jail. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju informed the court that Arvind Kejriwal is not giving the passwords of the seized phones. He told the court that if the need arises again, ED will again apply for Kejriwal’s remand.
ED has accused Arvind Kejriwal of being the kingpin of the liquor scam. ED says that Rs 100 crore was obtained through South Cartel in the liquor scam. Aam Aadmi Party spent this amount in Goa assembly elections. ED claims that it has strong evidence against all the accused in the liquor scam including Arvind Kejriwal. At the same time, Arvind Kejriwal says that there has been no liquor scam and ED or CBI has not received even a single penny from any of the accused.
The investigation into the liquor scam was started by CBI. Congress had complained about this. Now Congress is standing with Kejriwal. After the CBI investigation, ED investigation started on the issue of money laundering. ED had already arrested former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh in this case. BRS MLC K. is accused of creating the South Cartel whose name is coming up in the liquor scam. Kavita has also been arrested by ED. ED has already arrested many accused. Some of these promises have become waived witnesses. It was only after his testimony that ED arrested Kejriwal.
