Gautam’s sister says that there is a boy in their group. A WhatsApp group has been created on his mobile through which he sometimes talks to his brother. The brother told that there are more than 50 youths in Uttarakhand who are trapped in the clutches of these cyber frauds. Cyber criminals call for fraud through Telegram and other means, and they are also given a daily target.

Vidhan’s parents say that their son was tortured for several days. His friends were also beaten up. They were not even given food for several days. By promising jobs, young men are being given Bangkok visas, from where they are being taken to Myanmar illegally, where they are being held hostage and cyber fraud is being committed. Seven such cases have come to the notice of Uttarakhand STF. Security agencies have contacted the Indian Embassy to bring these young men back home. Cyber fraudsters are calling young men to Myanmar through their agents, where they are being forced to commit cyber fraud by threatening them. These young men are sitting in Myanmar and committing fraud with the people of Uttarakhand. The role of some placement agencies has come to light in the investigation, against which action has been initiated.
