A shocking case has come to light in the national capital Delhi, in which a fake racket was running in the name of Delhi Police. The Crime Branch has arrested three fake policemen who collect people through honeytrap in Kanjhawala area of outer Delhi. This revelation has stirred up the Delhi Police department, as fake police identity card and a head constable rank uniform have also been recovered from the accused.
Description of the incident: ACP (Crime) Sanjay Bhatia of Delhi Police said that the accused have been identified as Neeraj Tyagi alias Dheeraj alias Dhiru (42) of Tilak Nagar, Ashish Mathur (31) of Kerala and Deepak alias Sajan (30) of Kharkhauda. All three were arrested from Kanjhawala area. The accused were accused of implicating people and then recovering from the accused. Delhi Police arrested the accused and sent the crime branch office for questioning.
Honeytrap method: According to officials, the gang used honeytrap, in which people were implicated through a woman. Then the accused threatened the victims and demanded money from them, calling themselves real policemen. A 60 -year -old doctor was also a victim of this gang. The doctor was called by an unknown girl and later called her at Janakpuri metro station in West Delhi. When the doctor reached there, he was given breakfast and then the girl opened all the buttons of her shirt. Then four people reached the spot, two of whom described themselves as a policeman and threatened the doctor that a criminal case would be registered against him. After this, a total of Rs 9 lakh was recovered from the doctor.
Police action: This incident is from August 2024, and then an investigation was initiated against the accused. The police busted this honeytrap racket and arrested the accused. The Delhi Police is now investigating further in this matter and is seeing who other members of this gang can be and more information can be obtained about their activities.
The case raises a big question on the image of Delhi Police, as the accused used police uniform and cheated in the name of the police. At present, the police investigation is going on and efforts are being made to reveal the truth of the case.
