At present, if the politics of any state is the most complicated, then it is Maharashtra. During the Lok Sabha elections, MNS had unconditionally supported NDA in the state. It was believed that in return for this support, the party would be given relief by BJP in the upcoming elections of the state. But, this did not happen. Immediately after the voting for Lok Sabha was over, Legislative Council elections were announced in the state. In this election, BJP has given a big blow to MNS.
Actually, BJP has announced three candidates for the Legislative Council elections. In the Konkan Graduates constituency, BJP has made sitting MLA Niranjan Davkhare its candidate. MNS has made Abhijit Panse its candidate from Konkan. Eknath Shinde has also announced his candidate. Shiv Sena has made Sanjay More its candidate.
Due to this, there will be a contest between the three parties of the Mahagathbandhan in Konkan – Shiv Sena, BJP and MNS. Voting for these Legislative Council seats will be held on June 26. The three parties that fought together as a Mahagathbandhan for the Lok Sabha have now come face to face in this election.
BJP has fielded Kiran Shelar from Mumbai Graduates constituency. Kiran Shelar will face Thackeray group leader Anil Parab. BJP has given a chance to Shivnath Darade from Mumbai Teachers constituency. BJP was in a dilemma after MNS fielded a candidate in Konkan Graduates constituency. However, now BJP has given a shock to MNS by fielding Niranjan Davkhare from Konkan Graduates constituency.
