2024 Paris Olympics: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat achieved great success by winning three consecutive matches in women’s wrestling at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. With this victory of Vinesh, India has been assured of at least one silver medal in the Paris Olympics. However, the way she is performing, her gold seems certain. As soon as Vinesh defeated Cuba’s Yousnelis Guzman in a 3-minute round at 10:30 pm on Tuesday night, the entire ground echoed with applause. Vinesh raised her hand and greeted everyone, but with this victory, Vinesh’s eyes welled up. Seeing Vinesh’s eyes, her coach’s eyes also filled with tears.
Vinesh will face an American wrestler in the final on Wednesday night. Vinesh has become the first Indian female wrestler to reach the wrestling final in any Olympics.
On Tuesday, the 11th day of the Paris Olympics, Vinesh Phogat first won by defeating defending champion Yuvi Susaki of Japan 3-2 in the round of 16. With this victory, Vinesh entered the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, Vinesh Phogat faced Ukrainian player Oksana Livach. did not lose courage
Months before she could realise her dream of securing an Olympic medal, Vinesh Phogat was upset with the system, but threats, police detention and criticism for leading the protest did not deter her.
The journey of this Haryana stalwart to Paris was not easy and a lot was at stake. Instead of bowing down to the circumstances, she chose to fight and created history. The way she faced challenges on and off the mat has made her an example.
