A heartbreaking incident has once again come to light from Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The body of an ASHA worker has been recovered from a maize field in Kharkholi village located in Alapur police station area of the district. The woman went to participate in a government vaccination campaign and went missing under suspicious circumstances while returning. After the body was found, there has been a stir in the area, and the police has now started investigating the case from every angle.
Disappeared while returning after vaccination
According to the information, the deceased woman was ASHA worker, who went to Kundan Nagla village in the district on Tuesday for vaccination work. In the evening, he was last seen returning to Scooty with an ANM (assistant nurse Dai). After this she went missing and no clue was found. On Wednesday morning, the villagers saw the dead body of a woman in a maize field, which they immediately informed the police.
Fear of rape due to getting a dead body in the field
The condition of the woman’s body was found, seeing her, there is also a possibility of rape. However, the police is still waiting for the post -mortem report to confirm the cause of death. The forensic team has also been called on the spot in view of the condition of the body and the condition of the incident. According to the police, some traces of struggle have been found around the body, which is clear that there have been some criminal incidents with the woman.
Investigation of land dispute also
The family members of the deceased told the police that there was an old dispute with two people of the village over 1.5 bigha land. In such a situation, the police is also considering the land dispute behind the murder as a possible reason. Based on the complaint of the family, two suspects are being questioned in custody.
Four teams made for investigation
In view of the seriousness of the incident, four special teams of SP Dehat, SOG (Special Operation Group), Crime Branch and Monitoring Unit have been formed. The Superintendent of Police inspected the spot and said to disclose the case soon. Officials have assured that the culprits will not be spared.

This heinous incident has raised many questions about the safety of women in the district. This type of incident with a woman who went to duty under a government scheme has also put a question mark on the preparations and security arrangements of the administration.
