Chandigarh. Congress candidate from Rohtak Lok Sabha seat of Haryana, Deepender Singh Hooda, has declared total assets worth Rs 69.24 crore in his election affidavit. According to the affidavit, his wife and his movable and immovable properties are worth Rs 17.25 crore and Rs 51.99 crore respectively. Deependra Hooda filed his nomination papers for Rohtak Lok Sabha seat of Haryana on Saturday. Voting for all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state will be held on May 25 in the sixth round of general elections.
According to the affidavit, he is 46 years old and has cash worth Rs 20,284 and a sports utility vehicle worth Rs 30.24 lakh. According to this, the Congress leader has declared gold jewelery worth Rs 1.35 crore, while his wife has gold jewelery worth Rs 2.01 crore. Deepender Hooda, son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, has announced that he has not been convicted in any criminal case.

According to the affidavit, his immovable properties include an agricultural land in Uttarakhand, a non-agricultural land in Rohtak and commercial properties in Delhi and Gurugram. Deepender Hooda has declared liabilities of Rs 18.46 lakh. He did B.Tech from MD University, Rohtak in 1999 and MBA from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University in 2003. In the year 2020, Deepender Hooda did LLB from Delhi University.
BJP candidate from Sirsa Lok Sabha seat Ashok Tanwar filed his nomination papers on Saturday. He declared total assets worth Rs 6.15 crore in his election affidavit. According to the affidavit, 48-year-old Tanwar does not own any vehicle and has declared cash worth Rs 3 lakh. According to this, Tanwar, along with his wife, declared his movable and immovable assets worth Rs 91.44 lakh and Rs 5.25 crore respectively.
According to the affidavit, he has gold worth Rs 3 lakh while his wife has gold jewelery worth Rs 61.20 lakh. According to this, Tanwar has an agricultural land in Rajasthan and a house in Sirsa. He has declared that he has not been convicted in any criminal case.
BJP leader Tanwar has declared that he is a farmer. He did his PhD from the Center for Historical Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2010.
