Beed. After a blast at the mosque in Ardha Masla village of Gevarai tehsil in Beed district of Maharashtra, Beed police arrested two accused, who are being questioned.
After the incident, the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) team also reached the spot and questioned the two accused till late night. The ATS is investigating a parallel investigation whether a Terror Angle is involved in the incident or it was just a mischief of the accused.
At the same time, the matter is officially near the local crime branch, which is engaged in its intensive investigation. The police is investigating the background of the accused and tracking their social media accounts.
Investigations are trying to find out how many people were involved in the conspiracy of this blast and what was their motive. Officials said that all aspects are being closely worked on all aspects to get to the bottom of the case.
There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after a blast in a mosque on Sunday in Beed district. After the incident, the police administration has immediately deployed additional security forces to maintain peace and maintains and assured strict action against the accused.
Beed Superintendent of Police Navneet Kavar told news agency that there was a blast in the mosque at around quarter to three in the morning. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot within 20 minutes and the situation was reviewed by 5:30 in the morning.
He said, “Two suspects have been arrested who exploded explosive tool inside the mosque. Initial investigation revealed that the accused had a dispute with some children of Muslim society, in return for which they took this step.”
Kavar said that an FIR has been registered in the case and the local crime branch has been entrusted with the responsibility of investigation. A police inspector has been specially appointed to monitor the investigation. He said, “It will be a high -level investigation, which will be done in a fair and transparent manner. The culprits will be punished severely.”
The Superintendent of Police has appealed to the people to avoid rumors and trust the administration. He assured that strict action would be taken under the legal process so that peace and harmony in the area would remain.
