Arms supplier linked to the murder of Khan brothers and AIMIM leader was caught.
Carbine, rifle and foreign pistol recovered from arms supplier in Gopalganj.
Gopalganj. Gopalganj Police has got a big success before the Lok Sabha elections. Police have arrested the liner and arms supplier involved in the murder of AIMIM state secretary and Saran in-charge Abdul Salam alias Aslam Mukhiya. A carbine, an automatic rifle, a foreign pistol and 23 cartridges have been recovered from these arrested criminals.
Let us tell you that Abdul Salam alias Aslam Mukhiya, the state secretary of Asaduddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), was murdered. ‘Khan Brothers’ of Siwan was also attacked. However, in the attack in Siwan on April 5, 2022, another person died and two were injured. But AIMIM state secretary Abdul Salam alias Aslam Mukhiya was killed in an attack on February 12 near Turkahan bridge in the Nagar police station area of Gopalganj.
Let us tell you that Gopalganj police had registered an FIR against seven people including Chaurav Panchayat head Pravez Alam alias Chhote Mukhiya in this murder case. In this, four people have been arrested and sent to jail. After the incident, Mohammad Faisal alias Taufik, resident of Takiya Bankat, Gopalganj, who supplied weapons to the shooters, and Deepak Upadhyay, resident of Sahebchak of Liner Mirganj police station, were absconding and were continuously dodging the police.
While disclosing the murder case, SP Swarn Prabhat said that Mohammad Faisal alias Taufiq, resident of Takiya Bankat of Nagar police station, had come into limelight by attacking ‘Khan Brothers’ of Siwan. After that, he supplied weapons for the murder of Abdul Salam alias Aslam Mukhiya, a big leader of Asaduddin Owaisi’s party. Half a dozen criminal history is registered against Deepak, while Faisal alias Taufiq has a major crime case registered against him in Siwan and Gopalganj. Police are still conducting raids in search of the shooter in the murder case.
However, now the question is how did the carbines and automatic rifles available with the police and army reach these criminals. Police are suspecting that the weapon reached Gopalganj from some supply in Siwan. The seized weapons could be weapons looted from the police or army. At present, the police is intensively investigating the case of weapon recovery.
