Auraiya (Uttar Pradesh), March 13 (-AnyTV News)| In Auraiya district, some miscreants thrashed the members of the procession for playing an election theme song related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to reports, members of a procession are celebrating the victory of BJP with a thumping majority in the assembly elections on Friday night. Then some unidentified miscreants beat him up and vandalized his vehicles. They also snatched his cash and jewellery.
According to Brijbhan Singh, a resident of village Dilippur, he was taking his son Rohit’s procession and the guests were traveling in about seven different vehicles, including four cars and three vans.
A song was being played in praise of ‘Yogi-Modi’ on BJP’s victory when some people forcibly stopped the vehicles and attacked the procession and also vandalized the vehicles.
They later fled with Rs 2 lakh cash kept in a car apart from the jewelery to be given to the bride.
Some people have suffered serious injuries due to the breaking of the front glass of the car and the van.
Ruruganj outpost in-charge Tanmay Choudhary said that a case is being registered and search is on for the attackers.
