Attack on the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company in Ukraine: Russia clarified, said- was not targeted

Keyev. Russia has clarified about the attack on the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum Healthcare located in Kev, the capital of Ukraine. India -based Russian Embassy has issued an official statement dismissing Ukraine’s allegations. Ukraine claimed that on April 12, Russia targeted this Indian -owned warehouse through a drone attack, causing a fierce fire there. It is part of the pharma warehouse Kusum Group’s unit ‘Gladform’, which plays an important role in the supply of drugs in Ukraine.
Russia has made it clear that its forces did not target any civilian or foreign property. According to the embassy, the day’s military action was particularly focused on Ukrainian military establishments, including aircraft plant, military airbase structure, armored vehicle repair center and drone assembly workshops.
The Russian side also said that probably a missile target of the Ukrainian air defense system missed the target, and fell into the populated area, causing a fire in the warehouse. The statement also added that “such incidents have been revealed before.”
Ukraine has described it as a deliberate attack. Ukrainian officials say the Kusum Group gave humanitarian aid to Ukrainian citizens during the war, which could be a possible cause of this attack.
There has been no official response from India in this matter yet, but it is believed that the Indian embassy is keeping an eye on the situation and is cautious about the safety of Indian citizens and companies living in Ukraine.
Kusum Healthcare is a well-known Indian pharmaceutical company, which has presence in many countries including Ukraine, Kazakhstan and India. The company has been working for a long time to meet medicinal needs in Ukraine and has been contributing significantly to the health system there.
The incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of foreign companies amidst the Russia-Ukraine War, especially of companies that are serving in war affected areas on humanitarian grounds.
