A surprising case has come to light in Karnataka state on Wednesday. According to the information, a man allegedly attempted suicide by cutting himself with a knife in front of the Chief Justice in the Karnataka High Court. According to the police, the security personnel immediately took the man to the hospital, where he is being treated. Till now it has not been revealed why he has taken this dangerous step.
How did this incident happen?
According to the statement given by the police, Srinivas, a resident of Mysuru, handed over a file to the security staff at the entrance of court room number-1. Before anyone could understand anything, he tried to slit his throat in the presence of Chief Justice Anjaria. After this, the security personnel immediately took Srinivas to Boring Hospital, where he is being treated.
No suicide note was found
The police officer has said that we do not know why he took such a drastic step. Our security staff saw and immediately rescued him. He is admitted in the hospital. Police have said that they have not found any suicide note from the spot. Police are investigating the reason behind the man’s suicide attempt. The police will record his statement after doctors declare him healthy.
Chief Justice expressed concern
Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Nilay Vipinchandra Anjaria has also expressed concern over the security lapse in the court premises. He questioned how the man managed to bring a sharp object inside the court. The Chief Justice also ordered the police to conduct a panchnama of the incident site and asked them not to touch the knife. The contents of the file the man gave to the security personnel are unknown. The court has said that it will not examine the documents as it was not presented in the court by any nominated lawyer. The High Court also said that the officers should not obtain any document without the order of the court. (input language)
