According to Hindu scriptures it is not considered good to do good deeds these days. That’s why most people avoid doing any auspicious work in a month. Dhanarak and Minarak are one and the same. Dhan Sankranti is considered as Pisces Sankranti when Sun God comes in Dhan Rashi and Pisces Rashi. This time is called Kamurata or Kharmas. No auspicious work is done during this time. This period is of one month. The auspicious position of Sun, Moon and Jupiter is seen for any auspicious work. Sun-Jupiter are weak in Kharmas. Kharmas comes twice a year. The first occurs when the Sun is in Pisces and the second occurs when the Sun is in Pisces. Jupiter sets in Kharmas. Jupiter remains powerless. With the exit of the Sun in Capricorn, Kharmas is completed.
