Jaipur. Recently, the recently appointed Government Secretary Ravi Jain held an important meeting with senior officials of the municipal bodies and the Department of Autonomous Governance, showing activeness on the second day of taking charge in the autonomous government department. Preparations for the pre -monsoon were reviewed in depth in the meeting.
Jain directed that cleaning of drains, availability of pumping machines and resources for disaster control should be ensured in time to deal with the problem of waterlogging. He told the officials that preparations should be strengthened at the ground level to ensure that the common people should not have any kind of inconvenience during the rainy season. He also instructed to fill the open khadas immediately and share information about the progress of daily work. Ravi Jain said that according to the state government, we are committed to make the life of common people safe and easy.
DLB Director and Special Secretary Indrajit Singh said that public announcement system and sign boards should be installed in waterlogging areas so that there is no accident.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, DLB Director Indrajit Singh also issued necessary guidelines to set up control rooms at the level of each local body and identify the waterlogged areas of rain and keep necessary guidelines in advance.
After the meeting, Government Secretary Ravi Jain, Director and Special Secretary Indrajit Singh, Municipal Corporation Greater Commissioner Gaurav Saini, Municipal Corporation Heritage Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Patel, along with the concerned higher officials, conducted a surprise inspection of Jawahar Nagar Kachchi Basti, Jaipur Airport and other waterlogging areas. During the field visit, he reviewed the status of drains, drainage arrangements and emergency preparations.
