Avinash Sable during Paris Olympics 2024
The end of the 10th day was very good for India in Paris Olympics 2024. Indian athlete Avinash Sable created history at the end of the day. He made his place in the final of the Men’s 3000m Steeplechase event at the Paris Olympics on Monday. He has become the first Indian to reach the final in this event at the Olympics. This was a historic moment for him and the whole country. There are a lot of expectations from Sable this time. Sable remained at 5th position
Sable finished fifth in his heat with a time of 8:15.43 minutes and made it to the top 15 in the event. Steeplechase has three heats and the top five from each heat qualify for the final. Sable’s heat was won by Morocco’s Mohamed Tindouft with a personal best time of 8:10.62 minutes. Sable led for just one lap at the start before being overtaken easily by Kenya’s Abraham Kiriwot at the end.

Sable gradually came to fifth place, the last position for qualification, and he maintained his race very consistently, never falling down, and kept his pace with the rest of the top four. Sable will now be seen in action on August 07 at 1:13 am. Where this will be his final run. He also participated in the last Olympics i.e. Tokyo 2020, but he could not make it to the final. Sable has improved his game a lot since then and made many big records. Sable also won a gold medal for India in the Asian Games. Which is the biggest achievement of his career at the moment.
