Avinash Sable made it to the finals of steeplechase

He has become the first Indian to reach the final of this event at the Olympics. Sable finished 5th in his heat with a timing of 8:15.43 minutes and made it to the top 15 in the event. Steeplechase has three heats and the top five players from each heat qualify for the final. Sable will now be seen in action in the final of this event on August 07 at 1:13 am.
Indian hockey team will play against Germany in the semi-finals today
The Indian hockey team is all set for its semi-final match in the Olympics and in this match they will face world champion Germany. The Indian team defeated Great Britain’s team 4-2 in a shoot-out in its quarter-final match on Sunday, August 4. Many exciting matches have been played between India and Germany. India won the bronze medal by defeating Germany in the Olympics 2020. So far 105 matches have been played between India and Germany, in which Germany is ahead 53-25. 27 matches have been drawn.
Nisha Dahiya completed the match despite being injured
Indian female wrestler Nisha Dahiya lost 8-10 in the quarterfinal match against North Korea’s Pak Sol Gum in the women’s 68 kg freestyle category at the Paris Olympics on Monday, although she was leading at one point. Nisha was leading 8-1 in less than 90 seconds when she suffered a serious injury to her right hand, due to which she started groaning in severe pain. Nisha Dahiya had to lose this match due to injury. Nisha had tears in her eyes, but she did not leave the field even once. Lakshya Sen lost to Malaysian player in bronze medal match
India’s star badminton player Lakshya Sen had to face defeat from Malaysia’s player in the bronze medal match of men’s singles in Paris Olympics. Former England player Graham Thorpe dies at the age of 55
Former England player Graham Thorpe has passed away. He was ill for a long time. He played more than 100 Test matches for the England team and won many matches on his own. His death has caused a loss to the cricket world. Graham Thorpe made his debut for England in 1993. After this, he played 100 Test matches for England and scored a total of 6774 runs including 16 centuries. Apart from this, he has scored 2,380 runs in 82 ODIs. He was also a great player at the county level. Thorpe scored 21,937 runs for Surrey in first class cricket, including 49 centuries and an average of 45.04.
England announced the team for the Test series against Sri Lanka
