Jodhpur. Divisional Commissioner Jodhpur Dr. Pratibha Singh on Thursday inspected a surprise inspection of the district level control room set up in the Collectorate premises and took a detailed review of the functioning, resources and disaster management arrangements there.
During the inspection, Dr. Singh reviewed the availability of equipment in the control room, telephone facility, functioning of wireless sets and list of sires installed in the city while observing the arrangements being made by civil defense. He also inquired about the deployment of QRT team and its 24 -hour continuous functioning.
The Divisional Commissioner, especially emphasizing the blackout siren system, said that in the event of siren ringing, all the citizens should voluntarily close the lights of their homes and vehicles and stay in a safe place. He also said that the rules of blackout should strictly follow and do not come into any type of panic.
Record maintenance and complaint disposal process review
Dr. Singh closely inspected the register of messages received in the control room, entry of complaints, and their disposal process. He directed the personnel present to ensure quick action on the series of workflow and complaints of workflow. He also investigated basic facilities like telephone, flashlight, battery backup of the control room.
Instructions to remain alert and give early information to the workers
The Divisional Commissioner instructed all the personnel posted in the control room to work with great vigilance and responsibility and immediately inform the high officials as soon as any emergency information is received, so that quick decisions can be taken.
Dr. Pratibha Singh has appealed to the citizens of Jodhpur division to cooperate with understanding the sensitivity of the situation, do not get out of the house without need, and stay away from any kind of rumors.
Instructions to make the control room more effective
At the time of inspection, Ravindra Sharma, in -charge of the control room and other personnel were present. Sharma gave detailed information about the arrangements being made by civil defense. On this, Dr. Singh provided necessary instructions to strengthen the control room more effective and technically.
