Ayodhya. Action has started after CM Yogi’s assurance in the gangrape case of a minor girl in Ayodhya. First of all, police station in-charge Purakalandar Ratan Sharma and Bhadarsa outpost in-charge Akhilesh Gupta have been suspended in this case. On Friday evening, SDM Sohawal reached the house of accused SP leader Muid Khan along with revenue personnel. The land of the accused SP leader was measured. If an illegal building is found on government land, then the accused’s house can be bulldozed. The victim’s mother has told that the CM has assured her that the properties of the accused SP leader will be investigated and strict action will be taken against illegal properties.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday met the family members of the gangrape victim of Ayodhya at his official residence and assured them of strict punishment to the accused. The Chief Minister posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and said, ‘Today I met the family members of the victim girl of Ayodhya in Lucknow along with Dr. Amit Singh Chauhan, MLA of Bikapur assembly constituency of Ayodhya district. The culprits will not be spared at any cost, strict action will be taken against them. We are committed to get justice for the girl at all costs.’ In this post, the Chief Minister also shared a picture of his meeting with the girl’s family.
Later, an official statement said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured the mother of the victim girl that the government stands with her to get her justice and the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
After meeting the Chief Minister, the victim’s mother said that she has demanded death penalty for those who brutalized her daughter, on which the Chief Minister also assured that the government is committed to get justice for the girl at any cost. She told that the Chief Minister has also assured that the properties of the accused Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mueed Khan will be investigated and bulldozers will be run on illegal properties.
According to the official statement, Ayodhya police on July 30 arrested Moeed Khan, who runs a bakery in Bhadarsa Nagar of Purakalandar police station area of the district, and his employee Raju Khan in the rape case. Police said that Moeed and Raju Khan raped the minor two months ago and also recorded the act. The incident came to light when recently the medical examination revealed that the victim was pregnant. After it was claimed that Moeed Khan is a member of the SP, the case has taken a political turn. Yogi Adityanath mentioned this incident in the assembly and targeted the SP.
Yogi said, ‘This is an Ayodhya matter. Mueed Khan is from SP and is a member of the Ayodhya MP’s team. He has been found involved in the rape of a 12-year-old girl. SP has not taken any action against him.’
