New Delhi. Former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan has been found guilty in the Dungarpur case. Azam Khan is currently in jail. A case was registered on the complaint of 12 people regarding the evacuation of Dungarpur Basti in Rampur. After which Azam Khan and many others were accused. This decision of the court is considered a big setback for the Samajwadi Party leader. Azam Khan will be sentenced this afternoon. A case was registered against the senior leader of the Samajwadi Party in 2019.
It is alleged that violence, theft and looting took place in the name of evacuating the colony. After which 12 cases were registered in Ganj police station. The court has given its verdict on 3 out of the 12 cases registered in Dungarpur colony. Samajwadi Party leaders have been acquitted in two cases. In one case, they have been sentenced to 7 years in jail. The SP leader is currently in Sitapur jail. In the latest case of Dungarpur colony, the court has found Azam Khan and the contractor guilty. Contractor Barkat Ali and Azam Khan will be sentenced in the afternoon.

The police officer had fired
On 13 August 2019, Dungarpur resident Abrar Hussain lodged a complaint in Ganj police station. It was alleged that contractor Barkat Ali, SCDJS JE Parvez Alam, CO Ale Hasan and Sub Inspector Feroz Khan came to his colony early in the morning on 6 December 2016. They asked to vacate the house immediately. During the incident, the sub inspector also fired. Jewellery, cash worth five thousand rupees and a washing machine were looted from his house. After looting and robbery, a murderous attack was also made. Azam Khan’s name was also included during the investigation.
