Even after 77 years of independence, two villages of the city assembly constituency of Dig district are far from Lodhpuri and Bhuria development. During the rainy season, these villages become islands due to raw roads, which also affects child marriage. Both these assembly constituencies of Deeg district come in Alwar district. Due to this administrative chaos, neither development nor paved roads were built in the village. The primary school opened in Lodhpuri 34 years ago is still the same, due to which children have to go far for further education. When the NDTV team reached Lodhpuri, the reality of raw roads came to light. The villagers expressed their pain in front of the camera.
This village with a population of about 1,000 is in a pathetic condition.
Local resident Hanif Khan said, “The population of the village is about one thousand, out of which 400 voters. We vote in Dhanota, but the public representatives only appear during the election. Till date there is no paved road in the village. The situation gets worse in the rain.”
Sarpanch said- MLA and MP take responsibility
Villagers are demanding that their votes be added to Alwar district. Sardar Krishna Singh said that roads are transformed into marshes. Another resident of the area, Subhadi, said that the leaders make big promises during the election but till date nothing has been done on the ground. Our village is the most backward village in Bharatpur. Meanwhile, Lodhpuri sarpanch Rakesh said, “There was development inside the village, but no budget was found for the roads outside. The MLA and MP should take responsibility for it.”
The villagers said- our vote should be removed from the Deeg and added to Alwar
People say, “108 ambulances also do not reach during the rainy season. 20 km of raw route for delivery. Marriage is also affected. The procession is not able to come in the rainy season. The bride also has to take another village on foot to farewell to the bride.” The villagers have demanded the solution that our vote should be removed from the city assembly of Deeg district and connected to Alwar district, so that the roads of our area can be developed. Only then the public roads of our village will be made from MP and MLA quota.
