What is the recognition of the temple
It is said that Lord Vishnu resides in Kedarnath for 12 months. Where he rests for 6 months and gives darshan to the devotees for 6 months. That’s why the doors of the temple remain closed for 6 months and at the beginning of Vaishakh, according to the auspicious time, the doors of the temple are opened with great fanfare. Another belief is that humans get the good fortune of worshiping Lord Vishnu for 6 months, while the rest of the 6 months are worshiped by Gods and Goddesses. Badrinath has been given the noun of Baikunth Dham, because Lord Vishnu resides there for the whole 12 months.
