Bajrang Punia had refused to give dope sample
During the national trials of the Asian qualifiers, NADA had asked Bajrang Punia to give a sample for the dope test. But he had flatly refused. Then he had said that the kits sent to him for the test were expired kits. That is why he did not give the sample. For this reason, he was suspended on May 5, but no notice was issued. But this time NADA has suspended him and has asked him to respond to the notice by July 11.
Won bronze medal for India in Olympics
Bajrang Punia had to face defeat in the national selection trials held for the Paris Olympic qualifiers. Due to this, he will not go to play in the Olympics this time. Bajrang Punia won a bronze medal for India in the Olympics. He has won one silver and 3 bronze medals in the World Championship. He has one gold in the Asian Games and two golds in the Commonwealth Games to his name.
