New Delhi. Mobile internet and bulk SMS services have been temporarily banned in Haryana’s Sirsa district. According to the order issued by the Haryana government, these services will remain banned till 8 August 23:59 pm. Dera head Maharaj Bahadur Chand Vakil died on 1 August at Dera Jagmalwali in Sirsa. After the death of the Dera head, a dispute over the throne has erupted between two parties. The turban ceremony of the Dera head is tomorrow i.e. Thursday; therefore, in view of the dispute, as a precautionary measure, the Haryana government has banned mobile phone internet and sending multiple SMS simultaneously.
Haryana: In response to the Gaddi dispute at Dera Jagmalwali, Sirsa, the district administration has imposed a shutdown of internet services starting today at 5:00 pm until approximately 12:00 pm tomorrow.

The government order said that there is a possibility of disturbance in Sirsa district with the aim of creating tension, agitation, damage to public and private property and creating unrest in the area. Provocative material and false rumours spread very fast through mobile internet and bulk SMS, so these services have been banned till 12 o’clock last night. After the death of Dera chief Maharaj Bahadur Chand Vakil, the chief servant of the Dera and Sufi singer Mahatma Birendra Singh has declared himself the new chief of Dera Jagmalwali on the basis of the will.

Whereas Dera chief’s nephew Amar Singh is considering the will and the death of the Dera chief as suspicious. Mahatma Birendra Singh and Amar Singh are face to face on this issue. Amar Singh has claimed that the Dera chief died under suspicious circumstances 11 days ago on 21st July. Whereas Birendra Singh and his associates kept the matter of his death a secret in order to usurp the throne. Amar Singh said that I have evidence and we will appeal in the High Court in this matter. Along with this, he has also raised the demand for a CBI inquiry into the death of the Dera chief.
