In response, Nepal was all out for 85 runs.
Nepal had a bad start
Nepal had a very bad start while chasing the small target. Kushal Bhurtel got out after scoring just four runs. After this Anil Kumar returned to the pavilion without opening his account. Captain Rohit Paudel and Sudip Jora also could not play big innings. Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee tried to stay on the wicket for some time, but Mustafizur Rahman broke the backbone of Nepal’s batting order by dismissing both these players. Kushal scored 27 runs and Dipendra scored 25 runs. Nepal needed 22 runs to win in the last over. But then Sompal Kami got out on the first ball. After this Avinash Bohra got out on the second ball. The entire Nepal team could score only 85 runs.
In this way, Bangladesh bowlers have defended the lowest total of 107 runs in the history of T20 World Cup and broken South Africa’s record. The African team had defended a target of 114 runs against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2024 itself. Tanjim Hasan Shakib took four wickets for Bangladesh in the match against Nepal. He proved to be the biggest hero for the team. Apart from him, Mustafizur Rahman took 3 wickets in the match.

Shakib Al Has scored the highest 17 runs for Bangladesh. Liton Das contributed 10 runs and Mahmudullah contributed 13 runs. Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel, Sandeep Lamichhane took 2-2 wickets for Nepal. Due to Nepal bowlers, Bangladesh team could not score big and the whole team was all out for 106 runs.
