Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post. With this, the 15-year-old Sheikh Hasina government came to an end. After resigning from the post of PM, former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina arrived in India. Sheikh Hasina met NSA Ajit Doval at Hindon Air Force Base in Ghaziabad. Sheikh Hasina is currently present in the safe house of Hindon Air Force. Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to go to London, at present Britain has maintained silence on the issue of granting asylum to Sheikh Hasina.
Foreign Minister can give a statement in Parliament today
India is keeping an eye on the situation in Bangladesh. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar may make a statement in Parliament today. After Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, PM Modi held a CCS meeting. Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval were also present in this meeting. After the coup in the neighboring country, vigilance has been increased on the Bangladesh border.
Now an interim government will be formed in Bangladesh
After Sheikh Hasina resigned and left Bangladesh, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman said on Monday that the interim government will take over with immediate effect. He also asked citizens to keep their trust in the army.

Army Chief Zaman said, ‘I request all of you to have some patience, give us some time and together we will be able to solve all the problems. Do not go back to the path of violence. Adopt peaceful methods.’
300 people died in the protests in Bangladesh
Hasina resigned after weeks of protests against reservation in government jobs sparked nationwide unrest. The government’s crackdown on the protests has left 300 people dead and thousands injured.
