Australia women’s team did not even allow Bangladesh to touch the 90-run mark on Wednesday. Bangladesh team collapsed for just 89 runs in the third ODI match against Australia.
The third ODI match between Bangladesh women’s cricket team and Australian women’s team was played in Dhaka. Australian captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Australian bowlers proved their captain’s decision right and bowled out the entire Bangladesh team in 26.2 overs.
The havoc caused by Australian bowlers was such that only two batsmen of Bangladesh could cross the run score of 10. Captain Nigar Sultana scored 16 runs and Maroof Akhtar scored 15 runs. In the scorecard of Bangladesh, only 20 runs were recorded against ‘Mr Extra’. This means that no batsman could score as many runs as he got through extras. Earlier, the Australian team had all out Bangladesh for 95 runs in the first ODI and 97 runs in the second ODI. The visiting team won the first ODI by 118 runs and the second ODI by 6 wickets. In this way, Australia had already won the three-match series. By winning the third ODI also, he made a clean sweep of the series.
