New Delhi. On behalf of BAPS Sanstha, Abhay Swaroop Swami and Tirtha Swaroop Swami congratulated the newly appointed Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishna. The BAPS Sanstha prayed for the successful tenure of the Governor and said that he will continue to do humanitarian work in the future as well. During this, Governor C.P. Radhakrishna recalled the sweet memories of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.
BAPS i.e. Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha is a spiritual, volunteer-driven fellowship dedicated to improving society through personal development by promoting Hindu values of faith, service and global harmony. Many programs are organized by the organization from time to time. The foundation of this institution was laid by Lord Swaminarayan in the late 18th century. Later in the year 1907, Shastriji Maharaj formally established it.
In April this year, under the guidance of Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj, the organization had organized a Saint Camp to contemplate on religion, knowledge and devotion. Nearly 700 saints had participated in this camp. People of Swaminarayan Sect believe in Bhakti Sect. The Swaminarayan Sect believes that a human being cannot be saved without taking refuge in a saint. Today, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has more than 1200 temples across the world, of which the maximum number is in America. In India, the Swaminarayan Sanstha has more than 800 temples, both big and small.
Recently, the organization also built a temple in the Muslim country UAE, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February this year. Earlier in January, Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud visited the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Dadar, Mumbai. CJI Chandrachud took blessings from Shri Neelkant Varni Maharaj at the temple. Chief Justice Chandrachud also worshipped Lord Swaminarayan as per the rituals at the Swaminarayan temple. Justice Chandrachud praised all the work being done by the Swaminarayan sect and said that the work being done by the Swaminarayan sect is full of divine inspiration for humanity.
