New Delhi. The new National Cricket Academy will be inaugurated soon in Bengaluru. This is the biggest project of BCCI. In which sportspersons will be given world class facilities. The special thing is that although the name of this academy is New National Cricket Academy. But the athletes going to the Olympics will also be able to practice in it. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah himself has given this information.
Jay Shah said, “When I took over as BCCI Secretary, the period of Covid 19 came just 3-4 months after that. Now our focus was on how we would host IPL and domestic cricket. For two years, BCCI was really closed. In the second period, we decided that we would definitely do this. We had to develop cricket in the North East. Then in NCA, I laid the foundation of the new academy in the year 2022. We had the land in 2008 but our work remained incomplete. I don’t know why the people who were there before me did not complete it.”

Jai Shah further said that players participating in the Olympic Games will also get facilities in this. Jai Shah said that many other Olympians like Neeraj Chopra will also be able to come and practice in this. Let us tell you that facilities like 45 pitches, indoor cricket pitch, Olympic size swimming pool, art training, sports science will be available for practice in the new cricket academy.
Neeraj Chopra won silver
Chopra threw the javelin 89.45 meters in the Paris Olympics. This is his best performance of this season. Neeraj won the silver medal with this performance. Five out of Neeraj’s six throws were fouls. Neeraj won gold with a throw of 87.58 meters in the Tokyo Olympics. Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won gold in the Paris Olympics.
