An important decision has been taken at the annual meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), announcing that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah will continue to serve as the President of the Asian Cricket Council. Asia Cup 2025 will be played in T20 format instead of One Day International (ODI) format. The Asia Cup 2024 was played in ODI format and was hosted by Sri Lanka.
