Bharatpur Bharatpur Development Authority (BDA) and the joint team of the Municipal Corporation took strict action on illegal colonies, in which about 15 bighas of agricultural land were freed. This action was taken against the land mafia, who illegally cut the plots on agricultural land and built houses.
BDA Commissioner Prateek Juikar said that there was already a warning against illegal colonies by the department. He said that action on illegal colonies was already planned and this step is part of the same.
Recently, action was taken on illegal colonies being constructed near Jatauli Ghana village and Bachhamadi village, in which about 8 to 10 bighas of land were evacuated. In addition, an illegal colony was also being built behind the Radhika Vihar Colony, which was also taken action.
During the action, the walls were broken from the bulldozers and the buildings being built on the plots cut by the land mafia were demolished. The administration has clarified that strict action will continue against settling colonies without permission and construction on agricultural land.
Policemen were also deployed in this campaign, so that it could be helped to maintain peace and prevent any chaos.
