New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday dissolved its Gujarat unit to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections. However, state unit president Gopal Italia will continue to be the president and a new unit will be announced soon. Italia announced, “Till now the organization was formed with the idea or motive to spread the party message to every household of the state. But now a new organization will be formed with the aim of winning the elections. Let us tell you that the assembly elections are going to be held in Gujarat at the end of this year. Earlier, AAP had entered the electoral fray in the 2017 assembly elections, but the Aam Aadmi Party could not win a single seat in the election.
He further said that the disbanded unit was expanded when new leaders were inducted in the party, who were given jobs based on their experience and knowledge. Many more workers and leaders joined the party during this visit, they are also experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Now the party needs to be election ready and hence it has been decided to form a bigger organisation.
Italia said, “From taluka, district, city and state committees, very soon frontal organizations will be formed, in which everyone will get a role in the party. It will be a big organization and hence the question of anyone being left out does not arise.”
