Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today surrendered before the police in Tihar Jail after the expiry of his bail period. Before surrendering, Arvind Kejriwal visited Hanuman Temple at Rajghat and Connaught Place.
From Hanuman Mandir, Arvind Kejriwal reached the Aam Aadmi Party office directly and addressed the workers there. Referring to the exit polls, he said that all the exit polls are fake. The Delhi Chief Minister said that there are a total of 25 seats in Rajasthan and an exit poll has shown BJP winning 25 out of 33 seats.
Arvind Kejriwal questioned what is the need to conduct fake exit polls 3 days before the counting of votes. Some people are saying that they (BJP) have done fraud in the machines. He said, ‘I have told Sandeep Pathak and want to tell all the parties of the India Alliance to remain completely alert till the counting is over. Even if you are losing, do not leave the counting venue. He said that at the end of the counting of votes, random votes are cast. Some slips are put in. 5 percent of them are picked up. Those slips are matched with the slips of VVPAT. If there is any problem in it, then the polling of that EVM is cancelled.
Arvind Kejriwal told the workers that if you check the slips then we can prevent EVM scam.
Kejriwal told the AAP workers, ‘Today your son is going to jail not because I have committed any corruption but because I have dared to speak against dictatorship.’
Before going to jail I remembered Hanuman and Gandhiji
Arvind Kejriwal paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat Samadhi before surrendering in Tihar Jail on Sunday. After this, he offered prayers at Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place.
Kejriwal was accompanied at the Rajghat by his wife Sunita Kejriwal, ministers Kailash Gehlot, Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, Rajya Sabha members Sanjay Singh and Sandeep Pathak, among others.
