New Delhi. The International Cricket Council has released a new anthem song for cricket lovers ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be hosted by the West Indies and the United States on June 1. This new anthem will not only be used for the upcoming T20 World Cup but will also be used as a brand song for all ICC events. Earlier, the ICC used to launch different anthem songs for each of its major events, but this time a different approach has been taken.
New anthem song released on social media
ICC launched this new anthem song through its social media channels. Clips from different ICC world events are seen in this song, which includes matches of ODI World Cup, World Test Championship and T20 World Cup. The specialty of the anthem is that it features male and female cricketers. The song starts with clips from the India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match, and also includes moments from the World Test Championship 2023 final and Women’s T20 World Cup matches.
